With a new career opportunity in the works, Mick was excited to move to Toowoomba with his partner and their pets. Whilst both are avid surfers, Mick had heard Toowoomba was mountain bike territory and was super keen to get out there and also get a taste of the ‘big smoke’ after living in Noosa for over twenty years. Toowoomba is the largest inland city in Australia after Canberra so it will certainly be a change of pace for them!
Mick took us up on our offer of free loan boxes so was prepared on moving day. Twenty years of possessions took some muscles to load with three of the Toucan team starting the day bright and early and in great spirits. A lot of the large furniture required dismantling and re-assembly at the destination and the property had some challenging access points to navigate, but we can handle that no problems.
The new property was considerably smaller so the destination was split into two with one delivery to a local storage unit and the remainder to their new property. Mick’s collection of super cool surfboards were wrapped securely and placed in storage while Mick gets his mountain biking out of his system. Mick was tough and handled that like a champ! After re-assembling the furniture and making sure the emergency ‘moving day’ beer was refrigerated we headed off leaving them to Google where to get Fish & Chips for dinner.
